Q: Can’t I change the colors myself in my theme?
A: Yes, you certainly can! But this has some disadvantages, which we’ll go over below.
Q: What is the benefit of purchasing a professional color change?
A: There are a few reasons!
1. Color changes are typically purchased along with theme installation so that your site is fully set up and ready to go after your theme is installed.
2. More precise control over color placement. The Customizer in each theme has its limits (as an example, all the buttons across your site will be the same color if changed in the Customizer). For a more “custom” feel and color placement, our color change service is a great option!
3. The colors inside your post/page editor are also changed during our color change service, which is done manually in the theme code. Changing the colors inside the Customizer will not change the colors inside the editor, meaning if you changed the colors yourself, you would still see the original theme colors when creating posts and pages.
In the Order Notes box at checkout, please provide the following:
- Hex codes for the colors you want to use (3 to 4 colors are recommended, ranging from light to dark)
- Alternatively, you can send an image or document containing your colors to orders(at)17thavenuedesigns.com
- Any specific preferences for color placement (i.e. I want the top navigation bar to be X color)
- If you purchase this listing with installation, your color changes will be implemented during installation.
- If you purchase this listing without installation, your color changes can either: (A) Be made directly to your website (the easiest option for you!), or (B) You can choose to receive a new theme file for your theme updated with your colors
