If you are considering a theme from 17th Avenue Designs, do yourself a huge favor and GO FOR IT. I had previously had another theme (similarly priced) from a different developer and wasn’t happy with it. Quick backstory: I’d hired not one, but TWO web designers and both failed to deliver. Anything. With WEEKS of time on thousands of dollars. In the meantime I hated my website and finally got super frustrated. I’d set up my site myself years ago, but it was slow and cluttered and just in need of a refresh.
Enter Etsy and this WordPress Website, Charlotte. Loved it. I purchased the site, and paid for the pleasure of having Kate do the install. And since (by this time!) I was out of patience, I splurged on the 24 hour turn around. In less than half that time, my website had a complete facelift. Kate is absolutely amazing! I used her Rowan template for the last two years and loved the site so much! It was time for a change, and after browsing many other themes from other shops, nothing compared to the simplicity and elegance of the Ivy & Lane theme that she created!! Not to mention the ease of using the site! I also had Kate install the demo site. I wanted to make a few minor adjustments and any time I ran into an issue or didn’t know how to update something, she has been so gracious to send tutorials and support my way. It’s a little nerve-racking turning over your information to someone you’ve never physically met, but let me tell you – you get exactly what you pay for and more. Oh my gosh! Where do I start? Kate is amazing! I am not great at technology, let’s be honest, I’m terrible! I had two different host services tell me that I should hire someone to build my site. But although I was incredibly nervous attempting to build my first website on WordPress, I thought-why not? The cost of the theme is so small, that if I failed, I could try option 2 and buy help. But I did it!
My site went live today-and I feel like Bill Gates-a technology rock star! Truth be told, it was all Kate, helping me every step of the way. Any time I had a question, I would use her support service, and she would respond right away. Kate was patient and happy to help.
