Are you currently running one of our Genesis themes and you’d like help switching to the new Kadence version of the same theme? This service is made just for you! We’re here to make your transition to Kadence seamless and stress-free.
Theme Conversion Includes
- Installation of your Kadence Child Theme* (separate purchase)
- Transfer of existing homepage content into your new homepage
- Transfer of existing colors and fonts (*Google fonts only)
- Transfer of existing navigation menus, and/or updated with new links
- Transfer of existing page content into their new templates: About, Contact, Instagram/Social Page, Portfolio, and Services
- Transfer of existing logo (or upload a new one)
- Optional setup of a Coming Soon page
- Blog page setup
- Kadence contact form setup
- Sidebar widgets setup, including your about photo & text
- Transfer of existing Genesis eNews (newsletter) widget connection to your mailing list provider
- Footer widgets & footer menus setup
- Social media icons linked to your social profiles
- Transfer of any header/footer scripts from Genesis to Kadence to ensure your tracking scripts and ads remain active
- Transfer of any upgrade items currently installed on your site
- And more! We’ll review your settings, check each page to make sure things are looking great, and in general ensure things are set up correctly and in perfect working order on your site. You’ll have peace of mind knowing your site was set up professionally and accurately.
- Purchase the Genesis to Kadence Conversion service. You can purchase this service along with your theme, or separately later on.
- After placing your order, fill out the Conversion Form with all of your details and preferences for your website.
- Once we receive your form, your theme conversion will be booked into our schedule. Turnaround time is 5-10 business days.
- After we install your new theme, you’ll receive an email letting you know conversion is complete. Then you’ll be ready to launch your beautiful new website!
There are a few tasks you’ll need to complete prior to purchasing this service:
- Make a complete backup of your website
- Update your website to the latest version of WordPress
- Perform a plugin audit
- Upgrade to PHP 8.1 or newer
*Our Genesis to Kadence Conversion service requires that you are currently running the theme you are switching to. For example, if you are currently running Vivienne for Genesis and you’d like to switch to Vivienne for Kadence, this is the service for you! But if you are currently running Amelia and you’d like to switch to Vivienne, that would NOT be eligible under this service. You’ll want Premium Theme Installation instead!
Please note that this service does not include a theme (must be purchased separately).
This service is intended for established sites with existing content. If you are currently using a Genesis theme and only have the demo content loaded, your site is eligible for Premium Theme Installation (New Site). Feel free to reach out if you need help determining which installation package is right for you!
