01. Place Your Order

After you purchase the Genesis to Kadence Conversion service, you’ll receive a link to our Conversion Form in your inbox. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it.

02. Submit your form

Complete the Conversion Form with your login credentials and setup preferences. Once we receive your form, your website is officially added to our installation queue!

03. Conversion Day

Sit back and relax, we’ve got it from here! We’ll install your new Kadence theme, transfer your existing homepage and page content, and make sure everything looks just right.

04. Review & Launch!

We’ll let you know the moment your new Kadence site is ready. From there, you can look things over, tweak anything you want, and enjoy launching your beautifully updated website. 🤍

Frequently Asked Questions

Once we receive your form, turnaround time is 5 to 10 business days (weekends excluded).

If you purchased the Rush Installation Upgrade, your Conversion will be completed within 2 business days of receiving your Conversion Form.

Please note that if we receive the incorrect login information on your form, Conversion may be delayed.

This service is ONLY for sites transitioning to the same theme. For example, Charlotte for Genesis → Charlotte for Kadence.

If you’d like to switch from a Genesis theme to a different Kadence theme (for example, Charlotte for Genesis → Magnolia for Kadence) and you want to have us handle the setup, you’ll need Premium Theme Installation (Existing Site) instead.

Your existing homepage is widget-based, and your new homepage will be block-based. Since these are two totally different systems, transferring your homepage content is a fully manual process. There are two ways we can handle your homepage transition. You’ll select one of these options on your Conversion Form:

  • Mirror my changes as closely as possible: If you select this choice, we will recreate your homepage layout EXACTLY as it appears now. Images, text, layout — everything will be the same.
  • Set up my theme like the demo: If you select this choice, your homepage will be set up according to the homepage option you selected (each of our Kadence themes includes between 2 and 4 homepage layout options). We’ll reference your existing homepage and transfer your existing homepage content into roughly equivalent sections in your new homepage layout.

No. Your theme is not included with the Genesis to Kadence Conversion Service, and will need to be purchased separately. Visit our Kadence Transition Guide for more information on purchasing the Kadence version of your theme.

Genesis to Kadence Conversion does not include:

  • Updating WordPress and plugins
  • Migrating site content from a different domain
  • Transferring site content from a page builder plugin (e.g. Elementor, Divi, Thrive, etc) into Kadence
  • Adding new posts or page content to your site
  • Customizations, such as changing fonts, colors, layout, or theme features (note: if you’ve changed the fonts and colors on your Genesis-based site, those will be transferred to Kadence for you!)
  • Revisions/changes after Conversion is complete

Yes! If you’d like to review your site before it goes live, you can opt to have a Coming Soon page set up on your site. This will keep your site private to visitors until you’re ready to publish.

Staging site option: If you’d like your Kadence theme installed on a staging site instead, you can create a staging copy of your site and include the staging URL and login info on your Conversion Form. We strongly recommend staging for large sites that are actively receiving traffic. Contact your host if you’re not sure how to set up staging!

Absolutely! Once we hand over your site, it’s 100% yours to customize, tweak, and build on however you’d like. And with our easy-to-follow guides, you’ll always know exactly how to make updates.

We won’t leave you hanging! Once your theme is converted to Kadence, we’re here to help you feel confident using it. In the completion email you’ll receive after your theme is installed, there will be a link to Post-Installation Guide for your specific theme. This goes over lots of common questions that pop up, how to edit different areas of your new theme, and more.
